FREE childcare provided and free kid's pizza dinner. High energy, bluegrass music by JACK WALLACE and Friends. Think about how to help - decorating the social hall, cooking, helping with set-up and the dinner, and/or clean-up. Sign up at Clip Board Corner.

COFFEE HOUR VOLUNTEERS--Please join in the effort by bringing a snack to share, coming early to set up or staying a bit after for cleaning on your assigned Sunday. It is a great opportunity to work together and have fun! This months schedule is as follows: March 14: F-K, March 21: L-R, March 28: S-Z.

GREEN SANCTUARY MEETING--There will be a meeting in the library following Sunday's service this coming weekend (03/07/10) at 12:00 noon. We need to talk about out upcoming programs. Time goes way too fast, so be sure to take part.  Anyone interested in a greener world is welcome to come to out planning meeting. Questions? Contact Jan Nimmo jnimmo@q.com

INSIGHT NIGHT--On Thursday, March 11, we will show “Rivers and Tides.” This astonishing documentary from Thomas Riedelsheimer showcases sculptor Andy Goldsworthy as he creates works of art with ice, driftwood, leaves, stones and snow in open fields, beaches, rivers, creeks and forests. Experience the energetic flow and transitory nature of his art. Golden Gate Award Grand Prize for the best documentary at the International film festival. This months film was suggested by Terry Kreuzer. Doors will open at 6:30 pm for tea. The movie will start at 6:45. Admission is free and all are welcome.

DANCES OF UNIVERSAL PEACE--March 13, 2010 at 6 pm! Mark your calendars! Accompanied by music and song, the dances are sometimes referred to as "moving meditations." Dance instructor Grace Marie will guide us through sacred-circle dances designed to bring people together in healing peace and unity (http://www.riverrock.org/peace/index.html). We will begin with a potluck social to get to know one another, followed by dancing from 7-9 pm. This is a multi-congregational event, and open to the public. Babysitting will be provided. A $5 donation per person is appreciated. Any questions, please feel free to contact Melanie Dutremble 638-4554 or mariposasmile@bresnan.net.

CALLING ALL TEENS ~ TIME FOR SOME FUN!!--UUCC is having a sleepover party for all junior and senior high students Friday, March 19 at 7:00 pm to Saturday, March 20 at noon.  We will begin with an Equinox celebration and ritual, for teens and parents.  Then we will watch movies, play games, and generally have a great time.  Youth from other Wyoming congregations and Greeley are also invited.

WORSHIP COMMITTEE--The Worship Committee prepares and presents Sunday services, and we could use a few new volunteers! So if you like to speak in front of crowds and enjoy worship, please join us March 22, at 6:00 for our next meeting. Meetings are the third Monday of each month.

NEW! PLAY AREA IN SOCIAL HALL--The colorful mat in the social hall on Sundays is a place for little ones to play after the service. This way, their parents can still keep a watchful eye on them while they are enjoying coffee hour with other adults. Once the children are dismissed from religious education classes, they need to be supervised by their parents or the adult that brought them to church. We’re asking each kid to donate 1 or 2 toys from home to the play area. We are looking for toys that will stay on the mat, like little cars, puzzles and games. No balls, please! And we would like the children to help return the toys to the plastic bins when they are finished playing. We hope you enjoy this new area just for you! Also, please no running in the building so no one gets hurt.

CHANGES IN SUNDAY WORSHIP--You may have noticed that our Sunday Service has changed.  The Welcome and Announcements are now at the beginning and are presented by a board member; we have a time to greet your neighbor; the Chalice Lighting is now a thoughtful sharing from a member of the church; our choral responses are brief musical responses led by the choir (lyrics are in the bulletin if you wish to sing along); and we like to hold hands during the benediction.  We will also begin to sing hymns before the service starts as a beautiful way to gather together.  I hope these changes create a meaningful experience for each of us.  Please let me know what you think!  Rev. Dana Lightsey

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION--Good news! Our religious education program is growing! We need more teachers. YOU are a brilliant, wise adult with special qualities to share with our children. Please consider teaching a couple of Sundays. Just let our DRE Maria Means, know what dates work best for you, and she’ll help you with the rest. Many, many thanks! Rev. Dana Lightsey

ANNUAL STEWARDSHIP CAMPAIGN IS LOOKING FOR SOME VOLUNTEERS --Please lend us a few hours of your time and talent to help us gather of our treasure! Contact Luanne Gearhart, 638-4554.

ROOM 7 (ROOM FULL OF SKY) UPSTAIRS IS AVAILABLE for a monthly usage fee beginning March 1, 2010.  It would be suitable as an office for a small non-profit organization or it might be used as a studio. Please contact Andrea Heater in the administration office, 638-4554, if you would be interested.

LET THERE BE MORE LIGHTS --If anyone has a few extra strings of white Christmas lights to donate to the social hall, please contact Melanie Dutremble @ 638-4554, or bring them to the church and leave them on the coat racks by the kitchen. We have a few that are in need of replacement! Thank you!
