UUCC
As Unitarian Universalists, we value the democratic process in our congregation and in the wider world. This summer. we’ll be gathering to discuss a 2017-2018 UUA Common Read — Daring Democracy! Over the course of three Wednesday night discussions, we’ll explore how we can support and enliven our democracy as an expression of our faith. To sign up, register here: https://tinyurl.com/DaringDemocracy (and let us know by June 30th if you’d like a copy of the book).
Membership Classes at UUCC!
There will not be Membership Classes in JULY
The next class is scheduled for Sunday August 5th!
Have you been thinking about becoming a member of our congregation? Are you interested in learning more about Unitarian Universalism or UUCC? Starting this month, we’ll be holding our new member classes on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month from 11:45 – 12:45 in the Library. On the first Sunday of the month, Rev. Hannah will lead us in an exploration of Unitarian Universalist history and identity. On the third Sunday, our Membership team will lead us through some history and identity of UUCC specifically. Newcomers and long-timers and everybody in between are welcome to attend!
Both classes will be required before joining UUCC, and there will be an opportunity to join the church on the 4th Sunday of every month! If you have any questions, please contact Rev. Hannah at hrvillnave@gmail.com

CHURCH NOTICE:
We have posted signs up around the church a number of times but again we must stress the importance of NOT bringing any peanuts or foods with peanuts in them into the building at all. We have a member of our congregation that has a deathly allergy to peanuts and anything with peanuts in them. When this member discovers there are peanuts in the building, they have to leave immediately. This means that they miss out on our various activities or meetings that they need to be at. The allergy is critical and we DO NOT want to alienate this member or any others who have this allergy. PLEASE, PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD! that we cannot allow peanuts into the building. (If you are bringing in a packaged item, please try to check that it wasn’t manufactured in a facility that processes anything with peanuts.)

Reinventing Power
America’s Renewable Energy Boom
Just released in June, Reinventing Power takes us across the country to hear directly from people who are achieving our clean energy future, sharing their inspiring stories about how clean energy is moving us beyond coal and dirty fuels, and showing firsthand how real people throughout America are benefiting. This documentary offers a hopeful vision for how we can rebuild what’s broken, rethink what’s possible, and revitalize our communities, at a time when we need hope and vision. Supporting a clean energy future means building a better, more prosperous future for everyone. A guided discussion will follow the movie, and light refreshments will be served.
Co-sponsored by Sierra Club Wyoming Chapter, Powder River Basin Resource Council, and the Cheyenne Botanical Gardens.
Bank of the West is hosting a BBQ at our Down town Branch on both Saturdays during Cheyenne Frontier Days.
We serve a large number of people (hamburgers, hotdogs and beer !) during the parade.
If your youth would be willing to help us with the SOFT DRINKS that would be great.
This event takes place on Saturday 07/21 ad 07/28 and it is form 8 am to about 11.30 am
Please let me know if they are interested.
Also if you or anyone else form the church would like to join us for the BBQ , please let me know.
