Living Generously

It’s pledge season again! Letters went out March 16 and should be in your hands by now. We invite you to pledge to the church. Your financial contributions are crucial to all aspects of church life and ministry.

New this year: we are moving to evergreen pledging. This means that unless you opt out, this will be the last pledge form you will see for some time. Please carefully review what you have been pledging, consider the information provided in the letter and your circumstances, and return the form by March 27 or sooner. From there, we will use this number each year unless you tell us otherwise. You may revise your pledge at any time. We do encourage automatic deduction pledging as well, and there are instructions on the website for that.

Didn’t get one? Check our website (in the online giving section) for one that you can download.

If you have questions, please contact Camellia El-Antably

Children’s RE Classes happen on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month and are sized best for ages 5-12, though children older or younger are welcome to attend and “try on” the programming as helpers or with a parent assisting them. Teachers will take the children downstairs to the Rainbow Room as the worship service closes at 11am and the lesson runs until 11:45am.

Parents, please make sure your cell phone number is on the Attendance Sheet with our RE Team so they can contact you if your children need you, then feel welcome to enjoy our coffee hour, find a book in the library, take some time to meditate, or speak with our minister while your children are engaged with programming.

Adult Religious Education offerings can be found throughout the year in the newsletter. Please speak with Rev. Elizabeth about current and future topics and offerings.

Becoming a 2023 General Assembly Delegate
Congregations are now selecting delegates to represent them at GA in June, both virtually and on-site in Pittsburgh. If you’re curious about what it means to be a delegate and how to become one, allow UUA Secretary Bill Young and Co-Financial Advisor Chris Chepel to tell you more about what to expect as a delegate and how to approach the possibility in your congregation.

Only certified member congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) may be represented by voting delegates to GA.

Rising into the Sunlight
Easter, a holy day for Christians, and a question for us all as Spring returns: How best to celebrate the return of green, growing life as it surrounds us once more? On Easter Sunday, join us in an all ages celebration of rebirth and joyous celebration of Springtime! We will honor the Christian story of Jesus and the way that narratives of death and rebirth help us to find our way out of stuck places in our own lives, breaking us free like seedlings unfurling from the earth.
