Email and text scammers are continuing to target churches through this crisis. A member of our staff or lay leadership will never email or text you and instruct you to purchase gift cards. If you receive a suspicious request, please alert a staff member immediately.
We offer many opportunities for worship and fellowship via Zoom.
Our Zoom services can be accessed using the links below:

Sunday Worship is our traditional service setting and includes hymns, readings and a sermon or speaker that is held every Sunday from 10 to 11 am.

This Sunday we will be examining the idea of Freedom For. We often hear about the oppressions and restrictions that we are working to free ourselves and our neighbors from, but what about using our freedoms for a cause or purpose? Join us to pause, reflect, and connect as we explore how our own liberation can in turn free others.

A note from our PWR/MDD Youth Leadership –

Jessica Laikeman  |  Youth Ministry Consultant  |  Camping Ministries Director writes – I am writing to you this evening with a heavy heart to let you know that due to the ongoing nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, the UUA has decided to cancel ALL in-person events until September 1st, 2020. This of course includes all PWR youth summer programming (QUUest and Spirit QUUest Camps, Camp Blue Boat, and Metamorphosis Leadership Experience).

In light of this, we (Eric Bliss, Amanda Radak and the Metamorphosis event leads) are working to design a framework for a regional online PWR youth experience this July.

Thank you all for your continued support of the church. Here are a few things you can do to help the church community continue to thrive even while closed:

If you are using or planning to use Give+ for Sunday collection, pledge or other giving, we would very much appreciate if you would set up an account with Give+ (instead of using it as a guest). This will keep your information safely for future use and also simplify bookkeeping.

Did you know that you can pay your Service Auction bill using the Give+ application on your phone or through the Church’s website? This allows you to pay using your bank account or a credit card.

You can prepay your pledge for this year! If you are financially able to, please consider paying the remainder of your pledge sooner than the June 30 deadline for this fiscal year.

Living Generously Campaign:
Thank you to everyone who has turned in a pledge form. We very much appreciate it as we develop the church’s budget. Currently, our pledge amount is somewhat lower than last year, with a number of pledge forms not returned.

If you are in a position to turn in your pledge form, we would appreciate receiving them. If you are feeling uncertain in these times, we fully understand and will accept them whenever you are comfortable turning it in. We would appreciate if you could let us know that, if you are comfortable doing so, as pledges have a direct effect on the budgeting process that is currently ongoing.

We have been fortunate to receive a $4500  grant from the Unitarian Universalist Association to support Family Promise, which is currently struggling for funds as it provides for extended hotel stays and restaurant eating for families we serve. We hope this will relieve some of the pressure on Family Promise, so we can help keep this valuable program alive and well.

During our building closure, our essential staff and volunteers have been issued keys for their work. Once our building is re-opening, we will reach out with a process to request keys for those who need them. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our Board President Caroljean Bongo at Thanks!

Hello yoga community,
Here are the links to this week’s yoga sessions, plus some additional offerings.  I have included some of the calendar links, so that you can put the classes in your calendar if that’s helpful.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, Audrey will be focusing on some of the basics of yoga practice:
~ asana, which means “position” or “pose”, and
~ pranayama, which literally means “control of the life force or life energy, and is primarily done through breathwork.
Traditionally, finding a comfortable position (asana) and focusing on the breath are initial steps in preparing the body and mind for seated meditation.  For those who wish to try meditating with a group via Zoom, there is a group called the Bird and Bell Sangha that normally meditates here In Cheyenne two mornings and one evening each week. The leader, Gene Heater, said that any of you are welcome to join in, and that although they generally practice in the Zen Buddhist style, meditators of all traditions (and those new to meditation) are welcomed.  Here are those links:

This is an anxious time financially, for individuals and organizations alike. If you are able, UUCC values and appreciates your continued support through this time. If you typically put cash or a check in the offering plate on Sunday mornings, please consider mailing that donation to the church, giving via our website, or giving via our mobile giving app.

If you find yourself in need of emergency financial assistance, please email Rev. Hannah at or call/text her at 414-870-1028.
Important! Please Read!

We have been experiencing a growing issue with peanut residue in the building, especially in the library.  Please, do not bring peanut products into the building, and if your little ones enjoy their peanut butter snacks before coming, please be sure their hands are clean before they touch surfaces used by everyone.  We are seeing almost daily allergic reactions, so we ask you to please be diligent. It may be an inconvenience to you, but it can be life-threatening to those who are allergic.
