We have been experiencing a growing issue with peanut residue in the building, especially in the library. Please, do not bring peanut products into the building, and if your little ones enjoy their peanut butter snacks before coming, please be sure their hands are clean before they touch surfaces used by everyone. We are seeing almost daily allergic reactions, so we ask you to please be diligent. It may be an inconvenience to you, but it can be life-threatening to those who are allergic.

Faith Development WISH LIST –
LOOKING for 3 new 10-inch tablets for our FD classrooms/nursery. Can you donate 1, 2, or 3 new tablets for the Faith Development classrooms? To assist our Faith Deportment leaders and for security, peace of mind, and to help track our attendance easier we need 3 new 10-inch ANDROID tablets. The link to the specific tablet we have chosen is below. We are also hoping to purchase mounting brackets for these tablets for their use in the classrooms/nursery. I wanted to give the congregation an opportunity to see our “Wish List” item. We’ll be adding more to the list; items that people may already have and are willing to part with or may be willing to purchase for donation.

Summer of Seuss Volunteers Needed!!!
We need a few more volunteer teams to step up and help with our Summer of Seuss Sunday program. If you think you might want hang out with our UU youth…. Come see me, Mary Scherden, DFD!!!
We need volunteers for July 21st and 28th. All the work is done!!!! You’ll need to read a story, help facilitate craft centers (that are already planned) and welcome youth to engage in some fun and discovery along the way.

Looking toward next year in UUCC Faith Development – please consider spending a Sunday with our UU youth. We’ll have Spirit Play up and running for our youth ages 3 years to 3rd grade, and our Harry Potter and the UU Curriculum for ages 4th grade – adult. Leaders and assistants sign up for one or two Sundays per month. Look for upcoming news….

Do you have knowledge about a world religion or UU history that you might be interested in sharing? Is there a big idea (death, birth, transition) that you have knowledge or experience of and would be interested in facilitating a discussion session on? Is there a spiritual practice you do that you would be interested in teaching? The Adult Faith Development group is looking for sessions and discussion leaders for this fall. Harry Potter UU Summer camp will be August 12 – 16. 9am – 12pm at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Cheyenne. Youth ages going into 1st grade – 8 grade are encouraged to sign up (14 – 18 year olds may register as volunteers) . Early Registration is $50 and ends July 15th. Registration is $60 after July 15th. We are excited to announce that UU Casper is raising funds through the UU crowdfunding site faithify.org to help create a Reverend James Reeb Memorial Mural in his hometown of Casper.
Many UUs know the story of UU minister and civil rights martyr James Reeb, who was murdered in Selma, Alabama in 1965 while protesting in support of voting rights. What UUs may not know is that Reverend Reeb grew up in Casper, Wyoming, and served there as a Presbyterian minister before his faith journey led him to Unitarian Universalism and civil rights activism.
The fundraiser runs through July 27, 2019, and the public unveiling of the James Reeb Memorial Mural is scheduled for August 24, 2019.

- E-mail announcements are usually then included in the next Sunday order of service.
- Please remember that not all members/friends have or use email.
