Have you ever felt like the pro-choice/pro-life debate leaves important voices and perspectives out? Or that it misses the needs of those most impacted by reproductive health policy and providers? Join us this Sunday as we explore the framework offered by Reproductive Justice. The SisterSong Women of Color Reproductive Justice Collective describes Reproductive Justice as “the human right to maintain personal bodily autonomy, have children, not have children, and parent the children we have in safe and sustainable communities.” All are welcome!

General Assembly Registration Now Open!

Please Join Us For General Assembly 2020
JUNE 24-28, 2020!

Naomi Klein
will be the Ware Lecturer at this year’s General Assembly.

The time for #ClimateJustice is NOW! Naomi Klein will give the 2020 Ware Lecture at General Assembly. She is the award-winning author of This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs. the Climate, and The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism. She is a co-founder and advisory board chair of @TheLeapOrg, a climate justice organization confronting the intersecting crises of our time: climate change, racism and inequality.
Our Wiggle Space is provided by UUCC’s Faith Development Team and can be found in the front of the sanctuary, to the left of the altar.  Please encourage your wiggler to quietly explore the items on the selves during service. Children may sit on the rug and play, bring an item back to the pew to use with their caregiver, or use the small table for coloring/writing. Please, stay close by your child (first few pew rows on the left side) so you’re more able to help your child if the need arises. Hand sanitizer and tissues are provided for your convenience. Please contact Mary Scherden DFD, for assistance with our Wiggle Space.

Don’t forget to return the pencil bag, with all the items inside, back to the basket for use again next week.

!!!!!CHOKING HAZARD – Pencil bags are better suited for older youth (8) to adult. Please use care when using the items inside.!!!!!
Not sure what Circle Dinners are? The original structure was that interested church members (and their families) would meet in groups of 6-10 people, either at someone’s home or a specified location (such as the church), once a month to socialize. The mission of this ministry was to get to know others in a more intentional and intimate way, to learn about each other and find common ground in order to strengthen our community.

Generally, the host would provide the main dish and non-alcoholic beverages, and the guests would bring side dishes, desserts, and other beverages, if so desired and agreed on. Hosting would rotate through the group, so everyone had the opportunity to host.

Luanne Gearheart is heading this information gathering, so if you are not inclined to do an online survey, please feel free to contact her with your feedback on this topic! Her email is tatahatso@bresnan.net, or you can call 307- 630- 3763.

BTW the survey is very short, really it’s just one question. It’ll only take a moment.  Thank you!!

These are real stories that happened here in Wyoming. We will be turning these letters into videos that we will use to make at least 3 call to action videos. These calls to action will support the Immigrants rights campaign and the work happening here in Wyoming.

If you have been unsure how you can be part of the proactive fight for immigrant justice in Wyoming this is your chance. At this event, you will also be able to learn about all the things the ACLU of Wyoming and Juntos are working on.

If you would like to take part in this video project or for more info please reach out to Antonio Serrano at (307)256-4059 / aserrano@aclu.org, and he will provide you with the scripts you will need to review.

Snack and refreshments will be provided.

To view the Facebook event you must join the Juntos Facebook group, if you have not already done so.

Important! Please Read!

We have been experiencing a growing issue with peanut residue in the building, especially in the library.  Please, do not bring peanut products into the building, and if your little ones enjoy their peanut butter snacks before coming, please be sure their hands are clean before they touch surfaces used by everyone.  We are seeing almost daily allergic reactions, so we ask you to please be diligent. It may be an inconvenience to you, but it can be life-threatening to those who are allergic.

General Assembly Registration Now Open!

Please Join Us For General Assembly 2020
JUNE 24-28, 2020!
General Assembly is the annual gathering of Unitarian Universalists for conducting business of the Association, exploring the theological underpinnings of our faith, and leaning fully into our mission and principles. Please join us Wednesday, June 24 through Sunday, June 28, 2020 in Providence, Rhode Island for this 5-day immersive experience themed Rooted, Inspired & Ready! Join your faith family at inspirational worship services, informative workshops and a bustling exhibit hall. We anticipate that 4,500+ UUs will gather for this unforgettable experience and leave with renewed energy and innovative ideas for congregational and community engagement.

Registration is Now Open!
Registration is now open at uua.org/ga/registration. Full-time registration is $400 for adults, $250 for high school youth and retired and candidate ministers, $150 for off-site registrants. Early bird registration is now through March 15, 2020. Rates increase on March 16th.

NEW! Registration Payment Plan
Prefer smaller payments over a longer period of time? We’ve designed a payment plan just for you. When you register, simply click “payment plan” when prompted and, for as little as $50 down, you can spread out the balance of your registration over several months. Registration must be paid in full on or before February 29, 2020.
The UUA is committed to the goal of making GA accessible to as many attendees as possible. Go to uua.org/ga to learn about scholarships to support participation – particularly of those from marginalized groups – and volunteer opportunities (work in exchange for registration). The UUA is committed to addressing the inclusion of all people, whatever their abilities might be, in all GA activities. Beyond the physical accessibility of the facilities we use – ramps, captioning, seating cut-outs, etc.- we endeavor to take the next step: to truly welcome people with disabilities into every facet of GA.
