“Everything we touch, we change” African American science fictionist Octavia Butler writes, “Everything we change, changes us”. Sure some of us say we like change, but only certain types of change right?  How can we find our grounding in the midst of flux and change? Join us for an exploration of how our liberal faith helps us thrive in this creative tension.

Rev. Sean Neil-Barron is the Associate Minister at Foothills Unitarian down in Fort Collins, and is thrilled to be invited back to share worship in Cheyenne, in support of Rev. Hannah’s parental leave.

Upcoming Events

In a recent publication of UU World, an article was published that addressed the experiences of trans UUs. Written from a cis-person’s point of view, it was troubling to many UUs trans, non-binary and cis members. An apology was later issued from the editor which you can read here.

In response to the letter, Lauren Danley wrote a thank you to the congregation for the way that she has always felt welcomed and treated with respect,
“When I read the article A Call to Action From Trans UU Religious Professionals in the Spring 2019 edition of the UU World I was aghast, alarmed, and dismayed.  The survey result which showed that “…42% of trans people experience regular trans -related marginalization in UU spaces,” was a real shocker.
From the very first time I walked through the door at UUCC, I have only been treated with respect.  My experience has always been that “Love is the spirit of this church.”  Thank you!  Yes, with an exclamation point.  UUCC has always been a place where I could bloom and grow, a place where I can walk with dignity and grace.  Thank you!”

Rev. Hannah is on parental leave until April 8th.
