A Nurturing Presence
On Mother’s Day, we offer our attention to the nurturing that is so needed in society and in this congregation. We celebrate our religious education program, our UU ancestors, and the justice-makers who have brought an ethic of care and peace to humanity again and again over the centuries. Let us offer our thanks for one another’s caring and renew our commitment to our children and to all who need a nurturing presence in our lives.

Preacher – Reverend Elizabeth Mount

All are welcome!

Children’s RE Classes happen on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of each month and are sized best for ages 5-12, though children older or younger are welcome to attend and “try on” the programming as helpers or with a parent assisting them. Teachers will take the children downstairs to the Rainbow Room as the worship service closes at 11am and the lesson runs until 11:45am.

Parents, please make sure your cell phone number is on the Attendance Sheet with our RE Team so they can contact you if your children need you, then feel welcome to enjoy our coffee hour, find a book in the library, take some time to meditate, or speak with our minister while your children are engaged
with programming.

Kayla or Jan for more information and to be added to the schedule.

After each service there is a coffee hour in the Social Hall. Please come join us for coffee or tea and snacks. It is a friendly and relaxed time and a great opportunity to socialize.
Ideally, congregants take turns volunteering.  It’s fun and easy to do and is a perfect way to meet new people, enjoy fellowship, and build community.

Dates are listed below. There is a sign-up sheet on the round table in the lobby.

Launched from our Cambridge Platform

Before our Annual Meeting, we gather to remind ourselves of the basis of our communities. Today, we ponder the ways that we gather, how and why it is important to work together in community and what binds us and sends us forth together in hope. May the lessons from the Cambridge Platform of 1648 to the upcoming General Assembly of UU Congregations, to lessons of Confucian practice guide us into our shared conversation about this congregation’s future.
