Unitarian UniversalistChurch of CheyenneA community of refuge where all have equal worth and are invited into spiritual exploration as a foundation for: hope. compassionate service. action. The Spirit of Our Nation
As we pass Veteran’s Day, we pause to think about the history of our nation and our state and the ways that we have learned about our place here on the plains of the American West. The legends of the Wild West and the ways in which we tell them bear resonance to Greek and Roman mythologies in the shaping of us as a people. What does it look like to honor history by telling it in new ways? How might a retelling of the American Dream bring us together and give us a chance to live differently?
