Join us for Sunday Service

December 9th at 10:30 AM.

Join us this Sunday at 10:30 am for worship as we explore how transcendent practices (things that engage and embrace mystery!) from different religious traditions can open our hearts and spirits to the possibility of hope. All are welcome!

Pastoral Note
As many of you know, Gayle Roberts fell on the stairs here at UUCC on Sunday morning. She had a broken hip, which required brief surgery to repair. Gayle is on the road to healing and open to visitors (especially if they bring Scrabble) in room 4216 at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. However, please call ahead as she will likely be moving to a rehab facility in the near future.

The Buddha Washing December 20, 2018.
This service which marks the beginning of the New Year has been celebrated off and on at UUCC since about 1991.  The ritual involves chanting, bowing, the washing of statues, possibly the burning of incense, and the ringing of bells.  It may not be to everyone’s taste.  However, everyone is invited and welcome!  Bring your own personal item to be cleansed and blessed.
Everyone is also invited to help present the service.  Please contact Gene Heater at gene.heater@gmail.com or 421-5098 by voice or text if you would like to be involved.
There will be a practice and set up on Saturday, December 29, at 2 PM.
The Service Auction is scheduled for February 2, 2019.  We would love to have you join us!
We will have more room this year so feel free to invite your friends.  Now is also a great time to be thinking about what you will offer the Service Auction to sell.  Items, dinners, gatherings, activities are all great.  Working together we can make this the biggest Service Auction Ever!!!  Maybe try a new idea never done before.
If you have questions concerning what you are offering feel free to call Joe at 307.630.6192 or email at joecorrigan@bresnan.net.

Spring OWL Registration

OUR WHOLE LIVES: LIFESPAN SEXUALITY EDUCATION

Honest, accurate information about sexuality changes lives. It dismantles stereotypes and assumptions, builds self-acceptance and self-esteem, fosters healthy relationships, improves decision making, and has the potential to save lives. For these reasons and more, we are proud to offer Our Whole Lives (OWL), a comprehensive, lifespan sexuality education curricula for use in both secular settings and faith communities.

Our Whole Lives helps participants make informed and responsible decisions about their sexual health and behavior. With a holistic approach, Our Whole Lives provides accurate, developmentally appropriate information about a range of topics, including relationships, gender identity, sexual orientation, sexual health, and cultural influences on sexuality.

UUCC plans to offer 3 levels of OWL in the SPRING 2019. The levels include grades 4-6, grades 7-9 and grades 10-12. We need to know who’s interested and get an accurate headcount to continue our planning efforts. Register here!!!
