Join us this Sunday, December 30th for a multi generational service to honor the Wheel of Life, where we will mark the passages and transitions from the previous year.

  • Gayle Roberts is now recovering at home from her broken hip! In the coming weeks and months, Gayle might need help getting to and from doctors appointments. Please stay tuned for opportunities to help!
  • It is with our deepest sorrow that we inform you of Betty Jean Pearson son’s passing. His funeral will be held in Laramie at Stryker Funeral home at a date to be announced. Our thoughts and prayers are with her at this time.

This service which marks the beginning of the New Year has been celebrated off and on at UUCC since about 1991.  The ritual involves chanting, bowing, the washing of statues, possibly the burning of incense, and the ringing of bells.  It may not be to everyone’s taste.  However, everyone is invited and welcome!
There will be a practice and set up on Saturday, December 29, at 2 PM.
The Service Auction is scheduled for February 2, 2019.  We would love to have you join us!
We will have more room this year so feel free to invite your friends.  Now is also a great time to be thinking about what you will offer the Service Auction to sell.  Items, dinners, gatherings, activities are all great.  Working together we can make this the biggest Service Auction Ever!!!  Maybe try a new idea never done before.
If you have questions concerning what you are offering feel free to call Joe at 307.630.6192 or email at joecorrigan@bresnan.net.

OUR WHOLE LIVES: LIFESPAN SEXUALITY EDUCATION

Honest, accurate information about sexuality changes lives. It dismantles stereotypes and assumptions, builds self-acceptance and self-esteem, fosters healthy relationships, improves decision making, and has the potential to save lives. For these reasons and more, we are proud to offer Our Whole Lives (OWL), a comprehensive, lifespan sexuality education curricula for use in both secular settings and faith communities.

Our Whole Lives helps participants make informed and responsible decisions about their sexual health and behavior. With a holistic approach, Our Whole Lives provides accurate, developmentally appropriate information about a range of topics, including relationships, gender identity, sexual orientation, sexual health, and cultural influences on sexuality.

UUCC plans to offer 3 levels of OWL in the SPRING 2019. The levels include grades 4-6, grades 7-9 and grades 10-12. We need to know who’s interested and get an accurate headcount to continue our planning efforts. Register here!!!
